Net-net: your Mailchimp list can now populate Barn2door’s Customer Tab and vice versa. This makes it easy to grow your customer list, track various types of customers, view order history, send fancy newsletters, and more!
SET UP MAILCHIMP
We asked one of Software Engineers to walk you through setting up your Mailchimp account with your Barn2Door account. Check out the tutorial below:
Mailchimp is an intuitive email marketing tool. If you aren’t signed up yet, you can create a Mailchimp account for free for up to 2,000 contacts. The Mailchimp platform is our pick for Farmers because it is straightforward and allows you to customize your emails with considerable ease. It is also easy to add photos and to customize the layout. Their “drag-and-drop” editor allows you to quickly put together an email that will visually capture your Buyers’ attention.
New, time-saving features available to Farmers using Barn2Door + Mailchimp include...
Every time a new customer purchases, they are added to both your Mailchimp AND Barn2Door email list.
Every time a new person signs up for your newsletter (on your website if Barn2Door built your website, or is integrated with your website), that sign-up form adds customer information on both your Mailchimp and your Barn2Door list.
It’s easy to cluster customer details into separate Mailchimp groups. This means you can “segment” your audience to create more specific (read: effective!) marketing emails.
So, if you have a handful of customers who haven’t ordered from you in three months, you can send those Buyers the same email with a personalized message (e.g. We haven’t heard from you lately! Did you know we are now selling baby lettuce in our online store? Click here to shop…).
As Sam highlighted: if you update the name of a contact on either platform, they sync up automatically.
