Overview

In this role as a Content Marketing you will be responsible for developing, managing and producing both written and live content to attract, educate and inform current and prospective customers. This would include both short-form and long-form content, social media content, email nurture streams, workflows and sequences, and transcripts for live video. A key aspect of this role involves working closely with the Design teams and the Growth team to analyze the consumption of content, and conversion to new business. You will also participate in facilitating Events proposals, promotions, and content - which may also include travel to various US destinations to attend Farm conferences.

Naturally, you’ll be working to appeal to a wide audience of farmers - young and old alike - urban and rural. You should be comfortable working in a matrix-organization, soliciting feedback and gathering input to inform your creative output. You will work closely with the Executive team to regularly solicit input and present your proposed messaging to customers.

You Are:

  • A creative writer/author/speaker that can develop and deliver new content, insights and themes that appeal to our targeted audience.

  • Accountable for content marketing initiatives to specific audiences, to increase traffic, engagement, leads, and conversion.

  • Collaborates closely with the Growth/Demand team to execute on an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet business objectives

  • You will develop editorial guidelines to ensure content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone across the entire business.

  • Editorial calendar and organization workflows must be developed and managed to align with our audience and seasons

  • Keen to manage all digital content hubs and support all outbound channels including email / lists / newsletter and social distribution.

  • Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand.
    Executive presentations on the program approaches and results will be required.

  • Well-poised and eager to solicit feedback from multiple stakeholders (internal and external) on rough drafts and sketches prior to final production.

  • A highly motivated, focused self-starter (this isn’t a theory it’s a must)

  • An excellent communicator with great listening skills

  • Willing to work with a high degree of independence in an organization that commands teamwork and collaboration

  • Extremely comfortable in a fast growth startup environment

You Have:

  • BA/BS in English, Creative Writing, Literature, Media or equivalent working experience

  • Domain expertise in Food & Agriculture - preferably having grown up on a Farm, worked on a Farm, or knowledge of Farming (e.g. BA in Sustainable Agriculture)

  • Experience creating content for the web and growing a social audience

  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and ho to create it

  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales

  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.
