Overview

In this role as a Graphic Designer you’ll be responsible for working with our customers (farmers) to help build and develop their digital assets to promote purchasing from their local farm.  Note, this primarily includes building websites and mobile apps to empower farmers to connect directly with their customers. Naturally, you’ll be working across a wide range of farmers - young and old alike - urban and rural. You should be comfortable working in a matrix-organization, soliciting feedback and gathering input to inform your creative output. You will work closely with the Farm Success team to regularly solicit input and present your designs to customers.

You Are

  • A creative graphic designer that can develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

  • Well-poised and eager to solicit feedback from multiple stakeholders (internal and external) on rough drafts and sketches prior to final production.

  • Open to objective data and insights with respect to user interaction and usage to inform improvements and changes to design outputs.

  • A team player that can work well with copywriters, designers, product, sales and executives alike

  • Self-identified problem-solver, resourceful, humble - no task is too small

  • A highly motivated, focused self-starter (this isn’t a theory it’s a must)

  • An excellent communicator with great listening skills

  • Willing to work with a high degree of independence in an organization that commands teamwork

  • Extremely comfortable in a fast growth startup environment

You Have

  • 4-year college degree in Graphic Design (or related field); 2-year college degree will considered for entry level roles

  • 3-5 years experience in Graphic Design; 0-3 years experience for entry-level roles

  • Work in progress (WIP) towards a graphic design, art/design, marketing, visual communications or related field

  • Some experience creating assets reflecting diverse skills, flair and versatility in concepts, ability and originality

  • Experience designing and developing websites and assets, using SquareSpace, WordPress, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator or Canva.

  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.

  • Bonus: food or farming domain knowledge

You Will

  • Focus working directly on Farm digital assets

  • Work with Digital Marketing to on content promotion and multi-channel marketing campaigns for farmers

  • Analyze and report on User Interaction and User Experience with the Farm’s digital properties (and recommend, implement improvements thereto)

  • Identify and present new opportunities and areas of growth that will improve ability to achieve desired goals.

  • Inform what Graphic Design, UI and UX treatments are most effective attract and retain customers, and increase simplicity and use of our products

Training

An entry-level Farm Account Manager will require training and domain knowledge to effectively communicate the nuances of the Barn2Door solution and to field questions on your feet. Your training will include product orientation, messaging, role-playing, objection handling, and ongoing self-critiques of customer calls and meetings. Training will prepare you with requisite knowledge to:

  • Give you deep understanding of the Barn2Door solution

  • Answer FAQs regarding core product features and functions

  • Engage in an authentic and meaningful conversation with prospects

  • Showcase your work habits, attention to detail, attitude and initiative

  • Help move the business forward

You Get

  • $30,000 to $45,000 salary DOE, plus stock and fully-paid benefits
