Overview

In this role as a Marketing Manager for Barn2Door, you will develop, deliver and improve content to attract, educate and inform current and potential Barn2Door customers. 

You will be responsible for content optimization across a variety of marketing channels, including but not limited to the website, landing pages, blog posts, events, ebooks, Facebook live, advertisements, social and search (organic and paid). You will be responsible for tailoring content for targeted email campaigns that are segmented by persona, products and geographies. Additionally, you will have responsibility for submitting speaker applications and coordinating food-tech and / or farming events and conferences (may include some travel).

You will work closely with the Executive team, Design team, Sales team and your Marketing colleagues to analyze the efficacy of channels and consumption of content. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class Marketing team that is pushing the boundaries on marketing automation and lead generation. Together with the Growth Manager, you will be responsible for driving overall lead volume for the business. 

You Are:

  • A gifted writer with a strong passion for and experience in food and agriculture

  • Keen to manage all digital content hubs and support all outbound channels including email lists, newsletters and social distribution

  • A highly motivated, focused self-starter (this isn’t a theory it’s a must)

  • An excellent communicator with great listening skills

  • Detail-oriented and thorough, especially with respect to driving brand and messaging consistency across all Barn2Door channels

  • Well-poised and eager to solicit feedback from multiple stakeholders (internal and external) on rough drafts and sketches prior to final production

You Will:

  • Develop and deliver new content, insights and themes that appeal to our target audiences across a variety of marketing channels

  • Develop, manage and measure organic and paid content across digital channels

  • Evaluate channel performance (ROI), A/B test content and media, and champion our brand on a daily basis

  • Be creative, yet fastidious, about our brand messaging at every customer interface and engagement, from social to emails to events and / or podcasts

  • Outline a content strategy based on business objectives, while methodically engaging the market to establish our brand and build community

  • Be accountable for content marketing initiatives to specific audiences, to increase traffic, engagement, leads, and conversion

  • Work collaboratively across teams and with Executives to develop a content and marketing strategy to meet business objectives for growth

You Have:

  • BA/BS in English, Media or Marketing or equivalent working experience

  • Domain expertise in Food and / or Agriculture (E.g. worked on a farm, working knowledge of sustainable agriculture, experience with food, recipe development etc.)

  • 3+ years experience and understanding of best practices in creating short-form, long-form and social content, as well as managing a content calendar (audio and video content experience is a plus)

  • Working knowledge of current social media best practices (organic and paid), proven track record of growing audiences and customer conversion

  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume; an eagerness to evaluate outcomes of content (e.g. video versus graphics, live etc.)

  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders (from Executives to customers) in a complex environment

  • Comfort with metrics to deliver results in the form of engagement, leads and sales 

  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
